A new cryptocurrency exchange in Indonesia is planned to upgrade its economic system. Authority will likely shift its powers to the Financial Services Authority from a commodities agency. Commodities agency earlier dealt with all the cryptocurrency contracts parallelly with commodities.
People of Indonesia are seen to be comfortable with the new cryptocurrency system, giving the government a hint to improve its regulations. The Central Bank of Indonesia is inclined toward digital currency and showed a green signal by passing necessary laws to make cryptocurrencies legal and recognized financial assets.
Indonesian investors are showing interest in crypto against all the odds faced in 2022. The count of crypto investors rose from 11.9 million at the end of 2021 to 16 million in 2022. There are 383 cryptocurrencies in Indonesia, of which ten are domestic.
